4-Hit Day For Mitchum As Paducah Chiefs Skirts Past Dubois County Bombers

Pierce Mitchum was dialed in at the plate on Friday, tallying four hits and leading Paducah Chiefs to a 14-4 win over Dubois County Bombers. Mitchum singled in the first, singled in the third, singled in the fourth, and singled in the fifth.

Dubois County Bombers got on the board in the second inning. Bryson McNay homered on a 3-1 count, scoring two runs.
Paducah Chiefs pulled away for good with five runs in the third inning. In the third Bryson Bloomer singled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs, Nick Rucker singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, Alan Roden singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run, and Drew Hudson grounded out, scoring one run.

Brady Bibb earned the win for Paducah Chiefs. He allowed four hits and three runs over four innings, striking out three. Hale Sims threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Benton McGill took the loss for Dubois County Bombers. He lasted three innings, allowing eight hits and six runs while striking out one and walking zero.

Paducah Chiefs socked two home runs on the day. Lofton Pigg had a dinger in the fifth inning. Roden put one out in the sixth inning.

Paducah Chiefs collected 17 hits on the day. Mitchum, John Michael Russ, Roden, and Ja'lil Akbar each had multiple hits for Paducah Chiefs. Mitchum went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Paducah Chiefs in hits.

Dubois County Bombers scattered seven hits in the game. Matt Ellis and McNay all collected multiple hits for Dubois County Bombers.
