Dubois County Bombers Falls To Hoptown Hoppers

Dubois County Bombers opened up scoring in the first inning, when Matt Ellis doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

Hoptown Hoppers knotted the game up at three in the top of the third inning, when Hoptown Hoppers scored one run on a stolen base.

After Hoptown Hoppers scored one run in the top of the seventh, Dubois County Bombers answered with one of their own. Dubois County Bombers then answered when Tucker Schank grounded out, scoring one run.

Hoptown Hoppers pulled away for good with one run in the fifth inning. In the fifth Ben Huber's sac fly scored one run for Hoptown Hoppers.

Tyler Walton was the winning pitcher for Hoptown Hoppers. He lasted three innings, allowing two hits and one run while striking out one. Cam Barlow and Micah Genter entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Barlow recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Hoptown Hoppers.

Chase Hug took the loss for Dubois County Bombers. He surrendered three runs on three hits over two innings, striking out two.
Alex Franklin started the game for Dubois County Bombers. He allowed four hits and three runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out two.

Hunter Arnold started the game for Hoptown Hoppers. He went four innings, allowing three runs on six hits and striking out three.

Ellis led Dubois County Bombers with two hits in four at bats.

Seth Bennett went 2-for-5 at the plate to lead Hoptown Hoppers in hits. Jacob Jenkins led Hoptown Hoppers with four stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with eight stolen bases.
