Dubois County Bombers Grabs Lead In Sixth Inning For Victory Over Henderson Flash


Dubois County Bombers took the lead late in the game in a 6-1 victory over Henderson Flash on Thursday. The game was tied at one with the Bombers batting in the bottom of the sixth when Craig Shepherd singled off of Seth Wicker, driving in two runs.

The Bombers took an early lead in the second inning. With two outs in the second inning Craig Shepherd drove in one run when he singled.

In the top of the third inning, The Flash tied things up at one. Henderson scored one run when Justin Robison doubled with zero outs in the third inning.

The Bombers took the lead for good with three runs in the sixth inning. In the sixth there was an error, scoring one run.

Chance Hitchcock earned the win for Dubois County. He threw six innings, giving up one run, four hits, striking out seven, and walking one. Two relievers helped the Bombers close out the victory. Jordan Cozart threw two innings. Seth Wicker took the loss for the Flash. He pitched two innings, surrendering five runs, five hits, and striking out one.

Logan Workman started the game for Henderson Flash. He tossed five innings, allowing one run, two hits, and striking out three.

Shepherd led the Bombers with three runs batted in. He went 2-for-4 on the day. The Bombers was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error.
