Five RBI Day For Ben Huber Brings Victory For Hoptown Hoppers Over Owensboro RiverDawgs

Ben Huber was an RBI machine on Wednesday, driving in five on three hits to lead Hoptown Hoppers past Owensboro RiverDawgs 12-3 on Wednesday. Huber drove in runs on a single in the first, a single in the second, a sacrifice fly in the third, and a single in the fifth.

Hoptown Hoppers grabbed an early lead. Hoptown Hoppers scored on a single by Huber in the first inning, a triple by Cameron Hill in the second inning, a error in the second inning, and a single by Huber in the second inning.

Hoptown Hoppers pulled away for good with five runs in the second inning. In the second Hill tripled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs, an error scored one run for Hoptown Hoppers, and Huber singled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.

Hoptown Hoppers notched five runs in the third inning. The offensive onslaught by Hoptown Hoppers was led by Hill, Brant Husser, Jacob Jenkins, Huber, and Charlie Fischer, who each had RBIs in the inning.

Will Nash was credited with the victory for Hoptown Hoppers. He allowed four hits and three runs over six innings, striking out eight and walking zero. Chandler Kendall and Koby Silvy entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Brice Stuteville took the loss for Owensboro RiverDawgs. He allowed seven hits and 11 runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out one.

Hoptown Hoppers scattered 13 hits in the game. Micah Genter, Huber, Hill, and Jenkins each collected multiple hits for Hoptown Hoppers. Huber and Genter each collected three hits to lead Hoptown Hoppers.

Ian Ellis led Owensboro RiverDawgs with two hits in three at bats.
