PADUCAH -- The Henderson Flash took advantage of four Paducah errors and went on to beat the Chiefs 8-4 in Ohio Valley League play Saturday night at Brooks Stadium.
The Flash (8-7) took the lead to stay in the third inning as Fernando Villegas walked, advanced to third after a ground out and a balk and scored on an error for a 2-1 lead. Henderson added two runs in the fourth, aided by an error, and another run in the seventh, again helped by an error, for a 5-1 lead.
The Chiefs (6-9) closed to within a run with a three-run eighth but left the bases loaded. Henderson added three in the ninth for the final margin.
Henderson got a solid pitching effort from winner Brantley Flanigan, who allowed one unearned run in 6 1/3 innings. Brodie Brown led the Flash attack with two hits and three RBI.
Trevor McMurray took the loss, allowing four runs (one earned) in six innings. Keaton Rice had two hits and drove in a run for the Chiefs.
