Four RBI Day For Kyle Hogwood Seals The Deal In Owensboro RiverDawgs's Victory Over Franklin Duelers


Kyle Hogwood was an RBI machine on Saturday, driving in four on three hits to lead Owensboro RiverDawgs past Franklin Duelers 12-2 on Saturday. Hogwood drove in runs on a home run in the second and a single in the sixth.

An early lead helped propel Owensboro RiverDawgs to victory. Owensboro RiverDawgs scored on a single by Kirk Liebert in the first inning, a double by Parker Stahlman in the second inning, and a home run by Hogwood in the second inning.

Owensboro RiverDawgs evened things up at one in the bottom of the first inning when Liebert singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run.

Owensboro RiverDawgs pulled away for good with four runs in the second inning. In the second Stahlman doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run and Hogwood homered on a 2-1 count, scoring three runs.

Owensboro RiverDawgs notched four runs in the seventh inning. Nick Sanders, Bailey Falkenstein, Jacob White, and Stahlman powered the big inning with RBIs.

Brenden Bube took the win for Owensboro RiverDawgs. He surrendered one run on three hits over four innings, striking out five. Cameron Harvey, Caleb Schreiner, and Holden Martin all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.

Alec Cruz took the loss for Franklin Duelers. He surrendered six runs on eight hits over five innings, striking out six.
