​Franklin Duelers Drops Game To Muhlenberg County Stallions After Late Score


Franklin Duelers stayed in it until the end, but Muhlenberg County Stallions pulled away late in a 7-6 victory on Tuesday.

Muhlenberg County Stallions trailed 6-5 in the top of the ninth inning when an error scored two runs for Muhlenberg County Stallions.

Despite the loss, Franklin Duelers did collect ten hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Muhlenberg County Stallions had nine hits on the way to victory.

Franklin Duelers fired up the offense in the first inning. Joey Fletcher drove in one when he doubled.

Cal Johnston earned the win for Muhlenberg County Stallions. He surrendered zero runs on zero hits over five innings, striking out four.

Tyler Estes took the loss for Franklin Duelers. He allowed three hits and three runs over one inning, striking out two and walking one.

Jack Banks started the game for Franklin Duelers. He lasted six and two-thirds innings, allowing six hits and three runs while striking out seven Nick Casey started the game for Muhlenberg County Stallions. He surrendered six runs on ten hits over four innings, striking out two and walking one.

Franklin Duelers saw the ball well today, racking up ten hits in the game. Ethan Shelton and Tim Blankenberger all managed multiple hits for Franklin Duelers. Shelton went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Franklin Duelers in hits.

Jackson Little led Muhlenberg County Stallions with three hits in four at bats.
