Franklin Duelers Falls To Henderson Flash After Sixth Inning Score

Franklin Duelers lost the lead late in a 10-4 defeat to Henderson Flash on Saturday. The game was tied at four with Henderson Flash batting in the top of the sixth when Trey Hutchison grounded out, scoring one run.

The Franklin Duelers struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Henderson Flash, giving up ten runs.

Franklin Duelers captured the lead in the first inning. Franklin Duelers scored one run when Tim Blankenberger doubled.

After Henderson Flash scored one run in the top of the fifth, Franklin Duelers answered with one of their own. Henderson Flash scored when Derek Wagner doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run. Franklin Duelers then answered when Tyler Estes was struck by a pitch, driving in a run.

Henderson Flash took the lead for good with two runs in the sixth inning.

Henderson Flash scored four runs in the eighth inning. The offensive onslaught by Henderson Flash was led by Wagner, Brandon Boxer, Noah Brown, and Gunner Smith, who each had RBIs in the inning.

Ty Ramey was the winning pitcher for Henderson Flash. He allowed zero hits and zero runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out six and walking one. Braden White and Jon Cato entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Rylan Thomas took the loss for Franklin Duelers. He surrendered three runs on four hits over two and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking zero.

Kyle Nunn started the game for Franklin Duelers. He surrendered three runs on seven hits over four and a third innings, striking out six Mason White started the game for Henderson Flash. He lasted three innings, allowing five hits and three runs while striking out three and walking one.

Ethan Shelton went 2-for-5 at the plate to lead Franklin Duelers in hits.

Henderson Flash racked up 15 hits. Brown, Josh Johnston, Wagner, and Hutchison all collected multiple hits for Henderson Flash.
