Madisonville Miners fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 7-3 loss to Franklin Duelers on Thursday. Franklin Duelers took the lead on a home
run in the first inning.
Franklin Duelers opened up scoring in the first inning, when Travis Faix homered on a 3-2 count, scoring three runs.
Brant Alazaus took the win for Franklin Duelers. He went six innings, allowing three runs on four hits, striking out six and walking zero. John Benevolent
threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Peter Defee Jr took the loss for Madisonville Miners. He allowed nine hits and six runs over three innings, striking out three.
Madisonville Miners socked one home run on the day. Sam Boese had a homer in the fourth inning.
Jackson Jarvis, Ben Teel, Boese, and Colton Olasin each collected one hit to lead Madisonville Miners.
