Fulton Railroaders Captures Lead Early To Defeat Hoptown Hoppers

Hoptown Hoppers fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 2-1 loss to Fulton Railroaders on Sunday. Fulton Railroaders took the lead on a single in the first inning.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Fulton Railroaders pitchers struck out four, while Hoptown Hoppers sat down six.
Fulton Railroaders opened up scoring in the first inning, when O’Neil Burgos singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.

Drew Kirby got the win for Fulton Railroaders. He went four and two-thirds innings, allowing zero runs on two hits and striking out two. Brad Webber and Cade Killingsworth entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Killingsworth recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Fulton Railroaders.

Hunter Crosby took the loss for Hoptown Hoppers. He went three innings, allowing two runs on one hit and striking out five.
Ben Huber, Brennan Crooms, Seth Bennett, and Charlie Fischer all had one hit to lead Hoptown Hoppers.
