​Fulton Railroaders Falls To Hoptown Hoppers After Extra Innings Score


Tuesday's game against Hoptown Hoppers was a heartbreaker for Fulton Railroaders, as they lost the lead late in a 6-5 defeat. The game was tied at five with Hoptown Hoppers batting in the top of the tenth when Jacob Jenkins hit a solo homer.

Hoptown Hoppers fired up the offense in the second inning. Hoptown Hoppers scored one run when Brennan Crooms singled.
In the top of the eighth inning, Hoptown Hoppers tied things up at five when Micah Genter doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Fulton Railroaders scored three runs in the fourth inning. Fulton Railroaders scored its runs on a single by O’Neil Burgos.
Crooms got the win for Hoptown Hoppers. He surrendered zero runs on zero hits over one inning, striking out two and walking zero. Chandler Kendall and Hunter Crosby entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Kendall recorded the last six outs to earn the save for Hoptown Hoppers.

Ben Kowalski took the loss for Fulton Railroaders. He surrendered one run on one hit over two innings, striking out two and walking zero.

Will Nash started the game for Hoptown Hoppers. He lasted six innings, allowing eight hits and five runs while striking out six and walking one Colin Millar started the game for Fulton Railroaders. He surrendered four runs on six hits over four and two-thirds innings, striking out seven.

Fulton Railroaders tallied one home run on the day. Keshaun Mays had a four bagger in the third inning.

Fulton Railroaders racked up nine hits in the game. Reid Rector and Burgos each racked up multiple hits for Fulton Railroaders. Burgos and Rector all had two hits to lead Fulton Railroaders.

Hoptown Hoppers totaled 11 hits in the game. Jenkins and Drew McGowan all had multiple hits for Hoptown Hoppers.
