Fulton Railroaders Falls To Paducah Chiefs After Sixth Inning Score

Fulton Railroaders lost the lead late in a 10-3 defeat to Paducah Chiefs on Saturday. The game was tied at two with Paducah Chiefs batting in the top of the sixth when Paducah Chiefs scored one run on a stolen base.

The Fulton Railroaders struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Paducah Chiefs, giving up ten runs.

Fulton Railroaders got things moving in the first inning. Davis Lott drove in one when he singled.

Paducah Chiefs pulled away for good with three runs in the sixth inning. In the sixth Pierce Mitchum drew a walk, scoring one run.

Paducah Chiefs scored seven runs in the ninth inning. Nick Rucker, Palmer Campbell, Ja'lil Akbar, and Bryson Bloomer all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Jordan Fowler was the winning pitcher for Paducah Chiefs. He allowed five hits and two runs over six innings, striking out nine. Brady Bibbs threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Jordyn Naranjo took the loss for Fulton Railroaders. He lasted two-thirds of an inning, allowing two hits and one run while striking out one.

Ben Kowalski started the game for Fulton Railroaders. He lasted four and two-thirds innings, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out seven.

Paducah Chiefs socked two home runs on the day. Rucker went for the long ball in the ninth inning. Campbell put one out in the ninth inning.

O’Neil Burgos led Fulton Railroaders with two hits in four at bats.

Paducah Chiefs had 12 hits in the game. Bloomer, Alan Roden, and Mitchum each collected multiple hits for Paducah Chiefs. Bloomer went 4-for-6 at the plate to lead Paducah Chiefs in hits. Paducah Chiefs was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Rucker had the most chances in the field with 13. Paducah Chiefs tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Campbell led the way with two.
