Henderson Flash Drops Game To Hoptown Hoppers After Late Score

Henderson Flash lost the lead late in a 7-5 defeat to Hoptown Hoppers on Friday. The game was tied at four with Hoptown Hoppers batting in the top of the tenth when Ben Huber hit a solo homer.

Henderson Flash got on the board in the first inning when Brandon Boxer singled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.

Hoptown Hoppers evened things up at four in the top of the seventh inning. Hunter Evans hit a solo homer.

Brennan Crooms earned the victory on the pitcher's mound for Hoptown Hoppers. He lasted one inning, allowing two hits and one run while walking zero. Tyler Walton threw three and a third innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Luke Brown took the loss for Henderson Flash. He surrendered three runs on two hits over one inning, striking out one and walking one.

Zach Losey started the game for Hoptown Hoppers. He allowed one hit and four runs over five and two-thirds innings, striking out nine Matthew Craven started the game for Henderson Flash. He surrendered two runs on three hits over four and a third innings, striking out six.

Hoptown Hoppers tallied four home runs on the day. Chandler Kendall had a four bagger in the fourth and tenth innings. Evans went deep in the seventh inning. Huber put one out in the tenth inning. Kendall went 2-for-5 at the plate to lead Hoptown Hoppers in hits.

Gunner Smith, Josh Johnston, Boxer, and Trey Hutchison each managed one hit to lead Henderson Flash.
