​Henderson Flash Takes Victory Over Hoptown Hoppers, 5-4


Henderson Flash took home a 5-4 victory over Hoptown Hoppers on Sunday.

Henderson Flash opened up scoring in the first inning. Trey Hutchison drove in two when he singled.

Jared Hart earned the victory on the hill for Henderson Flash. He went five and a third innings, allowing three runs on four hits and striking out three. Garrett Simpson and Paul Perez entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Perez recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Henderson Flash.

Drew McGowan took the loss for Hoptown Hoppers. He surrendered four runs on five hits over two innings, striking out one.
Henderson Flash tallied two home runs on the day. Josh Johnston went yard in the seventh inning. Hutchison went deep in the third inning.

Henderson Flash tallied eight hits. Derek Wagner and Hutchison each racked up multiple hits for Henderson Flash. Wagner led Henderson Flash with three hits in three at bats.

Brant Husser went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Hoptown Hoppers in hits. Hoptown Hoppers was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Micah Genter made the most plays with nine.
