​ Hoptown Hoppers Captures Lead Early To Defeat Dubois County Bombers

Dubois County Bombers watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 15-6 loss to Hoptown Hoppers on Thursday. Hoptown Hoppers scored on a walk by Michael Conn, a double by Santrel Farmer, and an error in the second inning.
Dubois County Bombers collected eight hits and Hoptown Hoppers had 11 in the high-scoring affair.

Hoptown Hoppers pulled away for good with five runs in the second inning. In the second Conn drew a walk, scoring one run, Farmer doubled on a 2-0 count, scoring three runs, and an error scored one run for Hoptown Hoppers.

Dubois County Bombers put up three runs in the third inning. The big inning was thanks to singles by Chase Hug and Britton Graham.

Hoptown Hoppers scored five runs in the ninth inning. Hoptown Hoppers's big inning was driven by a single by Drew McGowan and a double by Greg Mehlhaff.

Will Nash led the Hoptown Hoppers to victory on the hill. He allowed eight hits and six runs over seven innings, striking out six. Brennan Crooms threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Chase Rudy took the loss for Dubois County Bombers. He surrendered seven runs on five hits over three and a third innings, striking out two.

Marcus Hill led Dubois County Bombers with two hits in two at bats.

Hoptown Hoppers collected 11 hits. Mehlhaff, McGowan, Jacob Jenkins, and Farmer all had multiple hits for Hoptown Hoppers. Farmer led Hoptown Hoppers with four stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with nine stolen bases.
