Hoptown Hoppers Captures Lead Early To Defeat Muhlenberg County Stallions

Muhlenberg County Stallions watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 9-1 loss to Hoptown Hoppers on Friday. Hoptown Hoppers scored on a home run by Brennan Crooms in the first inning, a double by Brendan Nee in the second inning, and a groundout by Jacob Jenkins in the second inning.

The Muhlenberg County Stallions struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Hoptown Hoppers, giving up nine runs.

Hoptown Hoppers got things moving in the first inning. Crooms drove in two when he homered.

Cam Barlow took the win for Hoptown Hoppers. He allowed zero hits and one run over seven innings, striking out ten and walking one. Drew McGowan and Ben Huber entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
Nate Cunningham took the loss for Muhlenberg County Stallions. He went three innings, allowing six runs on seven hits.
Julian Sansores led Muhlenberg County Stallions with one hit in three at bats.

Hoptown Hoppers collected 12 hits on the day. Seth Bennett, Hunter Evans, Jenkins, Huber, and Micah Genter each racked up multiple hits for Hoptown Hoppers. Jenkins led Hoptown Hoppers with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with five stolen bases.
