Hoptown Hoppers Defeats Paducah Chiefs In A Blow-Out Victory

Hoptown Hoppers had no trouble on offense today, winning big over Paducah Chiefs 10-4.

Hoptown Hoppers pulled away for good with five runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Charlie Fischer doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run, Brant Husser singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run, and Michael Conn singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

Drew McGowan led the Hoptown Hoppers to victory on the pitcher's mound. He went seven innings, allowing three runs on six hits and striking out five. Tyler Walton, Conn, and Micah Genter all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.

Mitch Turner took the loss for Paducah Chiefs. He went three innings, allowing five runs on six hits, striking out one and walking zero.

Hoptown Hoppers racked up 12 hits on the day. Husser, Hunter Evans, Conn, and Fischer each managed multiple hits for Hoptown Hoppers. Evans and Husser all had three hits to lead Hoptown Hoppers. Hoptown Hoppers tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Husser led the way with three.

Paducah Chiefs had nine hits in the game. Alan Roden, Nick Rucker, and Jacob Lathkowski each had multiple hits for Paducah Chiefs. Roden led Paducah Chiefs with three hits in four at bats.
