Hoptown Hoppers Drops Game To Dubois County Bombers After Late Score

Hoptown Hoppers stayed in it until the end, but Dubois County Bombers pulled away late in a 3-2 victory on Tuesday. Dubois County Bombers was down 2-1 in the top of the sixth inning when Chase Hug homered on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Dubois County Bombers pitchers struck out eight, while Hoptown Hoppers sat down eight.

In the first inning, Dubois County Bombers got their offense started. Matt Ellis drove in one when he singled.
In the bottom of the first inning, Hoptown Hoppers tied things up at one. Hoptown Hoppers scored one run when Jacob Jenkins singled.

Patrick Queener took the win for Dubois County Bombers. He lasted seven innings, allowing five hits and two runs while striking out eight and walking zero.

Cam Barlow took the loss for Hoptown Hoppers. He allowed seven hits and three runs over seven innings, striking out eight and walking zero.

Hoptown Hoppers smacked one home run on the day. Santrel Farmer had a four bagger in the third inning.

Farmer led Hoptown Hoppers with two hits in four at bats. Hoptown Hoppers was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Hunter Evans had the most chances in the field with nine.

Dubois County Bombers totaled seven hits. Ellis and Tyler Best each collected multiple hits for Dubois County Bombers.
