Marcinkowski's Walk-Off Gives Franklin Duelers Victory Over Henderson Flash


Franklin Duelers took their game in dramatic walk-off fashion, thanks to a walk-off single at the end of the game to topple Henderson Flash. The game was tied at 13 with Franklin Duelers batting in the bottom of the ninth when James Marcinkowski singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

Both pitching staffs had their hands full, frequently dealing with runners on base. Franklin Duelers collected 14 hits and Henderson Flash had 11.

Franklin Duelers took an early lead in the first inning when Orlando Arevalo singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

After Henderson Flash scored three runs in the top of the eighth, Franklin Duelers answered with three of their own. Henderson Flash scored when Henderson Flash scored on a stolen base during Noah Brown's at bat. Then Brown homered , driving in two. Franklin Duelers then answered when Ethan Shelton drew a walk, scoring one run and Joey Fletcher singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run.

Alec Cruz led things off on the pitcher's mound for Franklin Duelers. He went four innings, allowing six runs on four hits and striking out five.

Franklin Duelers totaled 14 hits. Travis Faix, Shelton, Jordan Blick, Arevalo, and Fletcher all had multiple hits for Franklin Duelers. Fletcher, Arevalo, Blick, Shelton, and Faix each managed two hits to lead Franklin Duelers.

Henderson Flash collected 11 hits. Josh Johnston, Will McDonald, and Cam Chapman all managed multiple hits for Henderson Flash.
