Ohio Valley League Discovers Use of an Ineligible Player

The Muhlenberg County Stallions identified an ineligible player on their roster, (Jordan Adesi). Mr. Adesi played in two games for Muhlenberg. The June 4th game resulted in a win by Owensboro. That game will stand as played and all individual player statistics will stand. The June 5th game resulted in a win by Muhlenberg 7 to 3 over Dubois County. That game will now be recorded as a forfeit with a score of 9 to 0 in favor of Dubois County per the OVL ByLaws Article 18 Section 5 Subsections A and B.

The individual statistics of each player in the June 5th game will stand except for a pitcher of record. No winning or losing pitcher will be recorded based on NCAA Rule 10, Section 28, subsections a and b. …“If the winning team by forfeit is behind or the score is tied at the time of the forfeit, do not enter a winning or losing pitcher.”…
