The Ohio Valley League held its annual league meeting Saturday. The League continues to plan for a GREAT season of Summer Collegiate Wooden Bat Baseball in 2021. We recently announced the formation of a tenth OVL team, the Full Count Rhythm. They will play their home games in Hendersonville, TN at Drake’s Creek Park.

With the addition of the Rhythm, the OVL will realign their Divisions for the 2021 season. The OVL will now play two five team divisions: North and South. The Northern division will include Dubois County, Henderson, Madisonville, Muhlenberg County, and Owensboro. The Southern division will include Franklin, Full Count, Fulton, Hopkinsville, and Paducah.

The 2021 Season will start on Friday, 4 June, at 5 locations in Kentucky, Indiana, and now Tennessee. The League will play 44 regular season games. They will play the teams in their division 6 times (24 games) and the teams in the opposite division 4 times (20 games). The League will cap off the year with a post season tournament involving all ten teams. We will follow the same format used last year with a 4 versus 5 play in game in each division. Followed by best 2 of 3 series in each subsequent round. The Championship series of the tournament should end no later than Sunday, 8 August.
