Muhlenberg County Stallions Loses Lead Early In Defeat

Muhlenberg County Stallions fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 2-0 loss to Madisonville Miners on Friday.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Madisonville Miners pitchers struck out 12, while Muhlenberg County Stallions sat down six.

In the second inning, Madisonville Miners got their offense started when Zack Toth was credited with the victory for Madisonville Miners. He went six innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits and striking out 11. Adam Weining threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Weining recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Madisonville Miners.

Allen Howe took the loss for Muhlenberg County Stallions. He went seven innings, allowing two runs on three hits, striking out six and walking zero.

Madisonville Miners didn't commit a single error in the field. Alex Rodriguez had the most chances in the field with 13.
