​Owensboro RiverDawgs Falls To Fulton Railroaders After Sixth Inning Score


Monday's game against Fulton Railroaders was a heartbreaker for Owensboro RiverDawgs, as they lost the lead late in a 9-6 defeat. Fulton Railroaders trailed 6-5 in the top of the sixth inning when O’Neil Burgos doubled on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs.

Despite the loss, Owensboro RiverDawgs did collect eight hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Fulton Railroaders had 11 hits on the way to victory.

Fulton Railroaders got on the board in the first inning when Burgos singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.

Fulton Railroaders pulled away for good with three runs in the sixth inning. In the sixth Ian Drays singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

Owensboro RiverDawgs put up three runs in the fourth inning. Michael Wymann and Tarron Lawson powered the big inning with RBIs.

Brad Webber took the win for Fulton Railroaders. He lasted two innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out six. Ryan Middleton threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen. Middleton recorded the last nine outs to earn the save for Fulton Railroaders.

Garrett Whitticker took the loss for Owensboro RiverDawgs. He surrendered two runs on one hit over one-third of an inning, walking one.

Colton Easterwood started the game for Fulton Railroaders. He went four innings, allowing six runs on six hits, striking out six and walking one Blaine Gillim started the game for Owensboro RiverDawgs. He went five innings, allowing five runs on eight hits, striking out four and walking zero.

Owensboro RiverDawgs smacked one home run on the day. Ian Ellis had a homer in the first inning.

Owensboro RiverDawgs scattered eight hits in the game. Manny Gonzalez and Wymann all had multiple hits for Owensboro RiverDawgs. Wymann and Gonzalez all had two hits to lead Owensboro RiverDawgs.

Fulton Railroaders racked up 11 hits in the game. Burgos, Garrett Guymon, and Drays each racked up multiple hits for Fulton Railroaders. Burgos went 3-for-6 at the plate to lead Fulton Railroaders in hits.
