Owensboro RiverDawgs Falls To Henderson Flash After Eighth Inning Score


Friday's game against Henderson Flash was a heartbreaker for Owensboro RiverDawgs, as they lost the lead late in an 11-9 defeat. Henderson Flash was down 9-8 in the top of the eighth inning when Justen Freeman singled on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs.

Owensboro RiverDawgs collected ten hits and Henderson Flash had 14 in the high-scoring affair.

Owensboro RiverDawgs took an early lead in the second inning when Tanner Singleton doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.

Owensboro RiverDawgs knotted the game up at seven in the bottom of the seventh inning. Ian Ellis singled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.

Owensboro RiverDawgs scored four runs in the seventh inning. Owensboro RiverDawgs big bats were led by Ellis, Sam Rowan, and Jacob Hartline, who all drove in runs.

Jared Hart was the winning pitcher for Henderson Flash. He allowed one hit and zero runs over two innings, striking out three and walking zero. Matthew Craven and Logan Gray entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Gray recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Henderson Flash.

Mathew Pigg took the loss for Owensboro RiverDawgs. He lasted two and a third innings, allowing four hits and three runs while striking out four.

Braden White started the game for Henderson Flash. He allowed eight hits and five runs over three innings, walking one Ian Ellis-Pitcher started the game for Owensboro RiverDawgs. He allowed three hits and four runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out five.
