Paducah Chiefs Can't Catch Up To Hoptown Hoppers

Paducah Chiefs watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 5-3 loss to Hoptown Hoppers on Tuesday. Hoptown Hoppers took the lead on a single in the first inning.

In the first inning, Hoptown Hoppers got their offense started when Ben Huber singled on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs.
Chandler Kendall earned the win for Hoptown Hoppers. He went six innings, allowing two runs on five hits and striking out ten.

Huber and Brennan Crooms entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Crooms recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Hoptown Hoppers.

Brady Bibbs took the loss for Paducah Chiefs. He allowed eight hits and four runs over eight innings, striking out one.

Paducah Chiefs totaled eight hits in the game. Nick Rucker and Alan Roden each racked up multiple hits for Paducah Chiefs. Roden and Rucker each managed three hits to lead Paducah Chiefs.

Hoptown Hoppers tallied ten hits in the game. Huber, Drew McGowan, Jacob Jenkins, and Micah Genter all managed multiple hits for Hoptown Hoppers. Huber led Hoptown Hoppers with three hits in five at bats. Hoptown Hoppers was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Hunter Evans had the most chances in the field with 16.
