Paducah Chiefs Captures Lead Early To Defeat Fulton Railroaders


Fulton Railroaders watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 14-6 loss to Paducah Chiefs on Tuesday. Paducah Chiefs scored on a single by Jackson Fitzgerald, a single by Pierce Mitchum, and a single by Ja'lil Akbar in the second inning.

Fulton Railroaders collected five hits and Paducah Chiefs had 14 in the high-scoring affair.

Paducah Chiefs got things started in the second inning. Fitzgerald drove in one when he singled.

Fulton Railroaders notched five runs in the fourth inning. Sam Gallimore and Luke McKenzie all drove in runs in the frame.
Paducah Chiefs scored five runs in the sixth inning. Drew Hudson, Alan Roden, and Brenton Tidd all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.

Gabe East led the Paducah Chiefs to victory on the pitcher's mound. He allowed four hits and five runs over four innings, striking out one. Palmer Campbell and Braden Mork entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Ben Kowalski took the loss for Fulton Railroaders. He surrendered one run on one hit over one inning, striking out one and walking zero.

Colton Easterwood started the game for Fulton Railroaders. He allowed zero hits and zero runs over one inning, striking out one and walking one.

Fulton Railroaders hit one home run on the day. McKenzie had a homer in the fourth inning. O’Neil Burgos led Fulton Railroaders with two hits in five at bats.

Paducah Chiefs saw the ball well today, racking up 14 hits in the game. Roden, Tidd, Fitzgerald, Hudson, and Akbar each collected multiple hits for Paducah Chiefs. Roden went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Paducah Chiefs in hits.
