Pigg's Walk-Off Seals The Deal In Paducah Chiefs Victory Over Franklin Duelers

A walk-off walk propelled Paducah Chiefs to a decisive, dramatic victory over Franklin Duelers, 8-7. The game was tied at seven with Paducah Chiefs batting in the bottom of the ninth when Lofton Pigg drew a walk, scoring one run.

Franklin Duelers scored six runs in the seventh inning, but Paducah Chiefs still managed to pull out the victory. Trejen Birdwell, James Marcinkowski, Ethan Shelton, Orlando Arevalo, and Jordan Blick powered the big inning with RBIs.

Paducah Chiefs fired up the offense in the first inning, when Pierce Mitchum hit a solo homer.

Blake Bagenstos was credited with the victory for Paducah Chiefs. He lasted two and a third innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out one. Eli Campbell and Braden Mork entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Will Buchholz took the loss for Franklin Duelers. He lasted five and a third innings, allowing five hits and three runs while striking out seven.

Rylan Thomas started the game for Franklin Duelers. He lasted three and a third innings, allowing eight hits and five runs while striking out three and walking one Hale Sims started the game for Paducah Chiefs. He surrendered one run on five hits over five innings, striking out three.

Paducah Chiefs socked two home runs on the day. Mitchum had a long ball in the first inning. Pigg went yard in the fourth inning.

Paducah Chiefs racked up 13 hits on the day. Mitchum, Nick Rucker, Alan Roden, Bryson Bloomer, and Drew Hudson all managed multiple hits for Paducah Chiefs. Mitchum went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Paducah Chiefs in hits.

Franklin Duelers tallied eight hits. Tyler Estes, Shelton, and Marcinkowski all managed multiple hits for Franklin Duelers.
