Railroaders broke a 6 game losing streak after beating the Stallions, 6-1


Railroaders 6, Stallions 1. (July 4, 2017) The Railroaders broke a 6 game losing streak after beating the Stallions in Fulton in front of 482 Fans gathered for baseball and fireworks. Fulton totaled 13 hits in the 6-1 victory with Mulhenberg County getting 7 hits, and both teams committed one error.

The Railroaders scored 3 runs in the 3rd inning to start. Paul Salata singled to produce 2 RBI, and Zell Walker scored from third on the only Stallions' error.


The Stallions' single run came in the top of the 5th inning. Ian Walters got a RBI on a ground out as a runner scored from third base.


Fulton score a single run in the 7th from a Zell Walker RBI single. Bottom of the 8th the Railroaders added 2 more runs. A.J. Smith hit a solo homerun and Owen Parsons contributed a RBI double. Fulton's scoring was complete.


The win goes to starter Kody Davidson pitching 5.33 innings allowing 5 hits, one earned run, one walk and had 4 stirkeouts. Reliever Jackson South finished the 3.67 innings of play giving up just 2 hits and one walk, he earns a save.


The loss for the Stallions goes to Hunter Lacefield for 6 innings handing out 7 hits, tagged for 3 runs (2 earned), one walk and striking out 6 batters.
