The Dubois County Bombers Grab Lead In Fifth Inning For Victory Over the Muhlenberg County Stallions


The Dubois County Bombers took the lead late in the game in a 10-4 victory over the Muhlenberg County Stallions on Saturday. The game was tied at three with Dubois County batting in the top of the fifth when Jaxson Blair singled off of Sam Folks, driving in one run.

The Bombers secured the victory thanks to six runs in the sixth inning. The Bombers's big inning was driven by a single by Bryce Krizan, a single by Andrew Tanous, a home run by Alex Alders, and a double by Jake Slunder.

Ryan Gulledge earned the win for Dubois County. He tossed two-thirds of an inning, giving up two runs, two hits, and walking one. Sam Folks took the loss for the Stallions. He threw five innings, allowing four runs, five hits, and striking out four.

Cole Berry started the game for the Bombers. He threw three and a third innings, giving up one run, two hits, and striking out five.

Dubois County collected 14 hits. Tanous, Craig Shepherd, Alders, Slunder, Roman Trujillo, and Anthony Sanchez each collected multiple hits for the Dubois County Bombers. Sanchez, Trujillo, Slunder, Alders, Shepherd, and Tanous each managed two hits to lead the Bombers.

The Stallions had seven hits in the game. Jacob Morris and Alfred Cruz each collected multiple hits for Muhlenberg County.
