The Dubois County Bombers Jump Out To Early Lead In Victory Over Henderson Flash


The Dubois County Bombers grabbed an early lead on its way to a 6-1 victory over the Henderson Flash on Tuesday. The Bombers scored on a fielder's choice by Andrew Tanous in the first inning.

Dubois County took an early lead in the first inning. Andrew Tanous hit into a fielder's choice, scoring one run.

Jordan Cozart earned the win for the Dubois County Bombers. He threw seven innings, allowing one run, seven hits, striking out five, and walking zero. Two relievers helped Dubois County close out the victory. David Ellis threw one inning. Dillon Day took the loss for the Flash. He pitched four and a third innings, allowing three runs, three hits, and striking out three.

The Bombers had 13 hits in the game. Tanous, Roman Trujillo, and Anthony Sanchez each collected multiple hits for the Dubois County Bombers. Craig Shepherd led Dubois County with two runs batted in. He went 1-for-3 on the day. The Bombers was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Philip Archer made the most plays with eight.

The Flash collected seven hits. Nolan Fertig, Paul Haupt, and Fernando Villegas each collected multiple hits for Henderson.
