The Dubois County Bombers power past the Muhlenberg County Stallions 19-9

Four hits from Philip Archer helped lead the Dubois County Bombers past the Muhlenberg County Stallions 19-9 on Tuesday. Archer doubled in the first, doubled in the second, singled in the fifth, and doubled in the seventh.

The Bombers grabbed an early lead. Dubois County scored on a double by Alex Alders in the first inning, a double by Camdon Mercier in the first inning, a single by Hunter Childress in the first inning, a walk by Jordan Libman in the first inning, a grand slam by Alders in the first inning, a double by Philip Archer in the first inning, a single by Craig Shepherd in the second inning, a single by Jackson Blevins in the second inning, and a double by Archer in the second inning.

The Bombers took an early lead in the first inning. Alders doubled on a 1-1 count in the first inning, scoring one run.

Muhlenberg County scored three runs in the fifth inning. The Stallions’ big inning was driven by a groundout and a double by Jacob Siegel.

Joey Antonopoulos earned the win for Dubois County Bombers. He pitched one and two-thirds innings, surrendering four runs, and one hit. Jacob Bowman took the loss for Muhlenberg County. He threw two-thirds of an inning, surrendering 11 runs, five hits, and striking out one.

Bear Bellomy started the game for the Bombers. He pitched four innings, allowing three runs, five hits, and striking out four.

Dubois County had 14 hits in the game. Archer, Brandon Smith, and Alders each collected multiple hits for The Bombers.

Muhlenberg County collected 11 hits. Siegel and Nolan Brimbury each collected multiple hits for the Stallions.
