The Dubois County Bombers Wins Back-And-Forth Affair against the Paducah Chiefs


The Bombers and The Chiefs played a taut affair on Sunday, but Dubois County eventually prevailed 3-2 after taking the lead for good in the seventh inning. The game was tied at two with the Bombers batting in the bottom of the seventh when there was an error, scoring one run.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Hurlers for the Bombers struck out eight, while Paducah’s pitchers sat down four.

The Dubois County Bombers evened things up at two in the bottom of the fourth inning. Zack Gray drove in one when he doubled in the fourth inning.

David Ellis earned the win for the Bombers. He tossed two innings, surrendering zero runs, zero hits, striking out two, and walking one. Bear Bellomy recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Dubois County. Trevor McMurray took the loss for Paducah. He went seven innings, giving up three runs, eight hits, striking out three, and walking zero.

Renton Poole started the game for the Bombers. He went six innings, surrendering two runs, six hits, striking out four, and walking one.

Dubois County Bombers collected eight hits. Trey Fulton and Jackson Blevins each collected multiple hits for the Bombers. Bryce Krizan and Gray each drove in one run to lead Dubois County.

The Chiefs had six hits in the game. Spencer Schultz and Keegan Breese each collected multiple hits for the Paducah Chiefs.
