The Oilers won Thursday night at home over the Stallions

The Owensboro Oilers won Thursday night at home over the Muhlenberg County Stallions. The final score was Stallions 4 to Oilers 12.

The Oilers scored in sequential fashion one run in the bottom of the 1st inning, two runs in the bottom of the 2nd inning, and three runs in the bottom of the 3rd inning, breaking out to a 6 to 0 lead. After the Stallions scored one run in the top of the 5th inning, Owensboro answered with three runs in the bottom of the same frame and one run in the bottom of the 6th inning, and led 10 to 1 after six complete innings.

Muhlenberg County hung in the game by scoring two runs in the top of the 7th and one more run in the top of the 8th to close to a six run gap at 10 to 4, but the Oilers plated two runs in the bottom of the 8th inning, and the 12 to 4 advantage held.
