The Railroaders cruised over the Chiefs to win 8-1


Railroaders 8, Chiefs 1. (July 12, 2017) The Railroaders cruised over the Chiefs to win 8-1 in Fulton. The Railroaders had 10 hits and 3 errors in the game. The Chiefs produced 6 hits and committed 2 errors. The win was Fulton's first over Paducah who had beat the Railroaders in 4 previous games this season.

Fulton score one run in the 1st inning and added 2 more in the 3rd. Single runs in the 5th and 6th innings made it a 5-0 lead for the Fulton

The Chiefs finally scored their one unearned run in the top of the 7th inning. The Railroaders answered in the bottom half scoring 2 across the plate. Fulton added their final run in the 8th to complete the final 8-1 score.

The Railroaders got solo homeruns by Hunter Hidgon, Andrew Rapoza, and Carrington Wilson to help the effort.
The Chiefs got 3 doubles from Blake Johnson, Tate Mathis and Tyler Hubbard who was 2 for 3 on the evening.

Starter Cody Caballero gets the win for Fulton for 7 innings pitched, one unearned run, one walk and 3 strikeouts. James Geiger closed the final 2 innings with only one hit, one walk and 3 strikeouts.

The loss goes to starter Tyler Horsley who threw for 6 innings giving up 7 hits, 5 runs (2 earned), 3 walks and had 9 strikeouts. Travis Regalado and Drew Piierce completed the final 2 innings.
