Railroaders 6, Chiefs 5. (July 15, 2017) The Railroaders rally in late innings to come from behind and beat the Chiefs 6-5 in Fulton. The Railroaders had 7 hits, one error and left 4 on base. The Chiefs got 5 hits, committed 2 errors and stranded 7 runners. The win moved Fulton into 2nd place in the West Division. Paducah slides to 4th place behind Madisonville who beat Hoptown on the same evening.

The Chiefs jumped to an early 3-0 lead in the top of the 2nd inning. Tyler Hubbard singled for a RBI and Brandon Kelley singled for 2 RBI.

Paducah added single runs in the 5th and 6th inning to take a commanding 5-0 lead over Fulton. Nick Shumaker tripled for a RBI in the 5th, and Brandon Kelley got a RBI off a bunt single in the 6th inning.

The Railroaders bounded back in the 7th to tie the game scoring 5 runs. Hunter Higdon lead off with a solo homerun. With a runner on first, Andrew Rapoza hit a 2 RBI homerun. Will Acuff singled and Jared Cramer doubled to put runners on 2nd and 3rd base. Brandon Hauswald followed and reached 1st base on a dropped third strike as the Chief's catcher threw a wild throw toward 3rd base that caromed into the Railroaders dugout allowing 2 runs to score.

Bottom of the 8th inning, Hunter Higdon singled to lead off, made to 2nd on a ground out and then 3rd on a wild pitch. Higdon finally made it home on another error by the Chiefs to give Fulton the 6-5 final score.

Justin Baker gets the win in middle relieve for 3 2/3 innings giving up one earned run, 2 walks, and had 4 strikeouts. Jackson South picked up a save closing out the final inning. Fulton starter James Geiger threw for 4 1/3 innings allowing 3 hits, 4 earned runs, 2 walks and 3 strikeouts.

The loss goes to reliever Travis Regalado for one inning pitched and tagged with the go ahead unearned run, he gave up one hit, one walk and one strikeout. Paducah's starter Blake Clynes pitched 7 innings, and had strong performance the first 6 innings.

Clynes allowed 6 hits, 5 runs (2 earned), no walks and had 12 strikeouts.
