​Three Dubois County Bombers Pitchers Combine To Defeat Owensboro RiverDawgs In Shutout Game

Dubois County Bombers defeated Owensboro RiverDawgs 10-0 on Friday as three pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Andrew Schimmoler induced a fly out from Tarron Lawson to finish off the game.

In the first inning, Dubois County Bombers got their offense started when Matt Ellis's sac fly scored one run for Dubois County Bombers.

Dubois County Bombers tallied five runs in the seventh inning. Dubois County Bombers's big inning was driven by a walk by Evan Kahre, a single by Tyler Van Pelt, a sacrifice fly by Austin Duffy, and a double by Britton Graham.
A single by Lawson in the third inning was a positive for Owensboro RiverDawgs.

Alex Franklin was the winning pitcher for Dubois County Bombers. He went five innings, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out two and walking one. Tim Rogers and Schimmoler entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Mathew Pigg took the loss for Owensboro RiverDawgs. He allowed one hit and three runs over five innings, striking out five.
Dubois County Bombers collected nine hits on the day. Van Pelt and Ellis all managed multiple hits for Dubois County Bombers. Ellis and Van Pelt all had two hits to lead Dubois County Bombers. Dubois County Bombers didn't commit a single error in the field. Matt Joslin had 11 chances in the field, the most on the team.

Owensboro RiverDawgs was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Lawson made the most plays with six.
