Despite Collecting Eight Hits, Muhlenberg County Stallions Falls To Owensboro RiverDawgs

Both pitching staffs had their hands full on Thursday in a high-scoring affair where Owensboro RiverDawgs bested Muhlenberg County Stallions, 9-6.
Muhlenberg County Stallions collected eight hits and Owensboro RiverDawgs had seven in the high-scoring affair. Muhlenberg County Stallions knotted the game up at one in the bottom of the third inning, when Adrian Minjares grounded out, scoring one run.

Owensboro RiverDawgs pulled away for good with eight runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth an error scored one run for Owensboro RiverDawgs, Kirk Liebert drew a walk, scoring one run, Bailey Falkenstein drew a walk, scoring one run, an error scored one run for Owensboro RiverDawgs, Michael Wymann's sac fly scored one run for Owensboro RiverDawgs, Tarron Lawson doubled on a 3-0 count, scoring one run, and an error scored two runs for Owensboro RiverDawgs.

Muhlenberg County Stallions put up three runs in the eighth inning. Tad Marks and Reece Puckett powered the big inning with RBIs.

Bo Robison pitched Owensboro RiverDawgs to victory. He allowed two hits and two runs over three innings, striking out seven and walking one. A number of pitchers entered the game as relief, with Drake Hamil, Caleb Dubois, Garrett Whitticker, and Caleb Schreiner all securing outs and ultimately the victory. Hamil recorded the last four outs to earn the save for Owensboro RiverDawgs.

Allen Howe took the loss for Muhlenberg County Stallions. He allowed five hits and nine runs over four innings, striking out one.

Ian Ellis started the game for Owensboro RiverDawgs. He allowed two hits and one run over three innings, striking out one.

Muhlenberg County Stallions saw the ball well today, racking up eight hits in the game. Puckett and Will Myers all managed multiple hits for Muhlenberg County Stallions. Myers and Puckett each collected two hits to lead Muhlenberg County Stallions.

Lawson led Owensboro RiverDawgs with two hits in five at bats.
