Dubois County Bombers beat Paducah Chiefs 8-5 on Saturday.

Dubois County Bombers got things started in the first inning when Blakeney Kearbey induced Matt Ellis to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.

Dubois County Bombers put up four runs in the fourth inning. The big inning was thanks to a triple by Tyler Van Pelt and a single by Benji Brokemond.

Andrew Schimmoler was the winning pitcher for Dubois County Bombers. He went five innings, allowing three runs on five hits and striking out three. Devin Morris threw four innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Kearbey took the loss for Paducah Chiefs. He allowed three hits and three runs over one inning.

Dubois County Bombers saw the ball well today, racking up nine hits in the game. Brokemond, Tucker Schank, and Van Pelt each managed multiple hits for Dubois County Bombers. Van Pelt, Schank, and Brokemond each managed two hits to lead Dubois County Bombers.

Paducah Chiefs racked up nine hits on the day. Pierce Mitchum and Drew Hudson each racked up multiple hits for Paducah Chiefs. Mitchum went 3-for-5 at the plate to lead Paducah Chiefs in hits.
