Dubois County Bombers Defeats Owensboro RiverDawgs In High-Scoring Affair

There were runs aplenty on Wednesday, as Dubois County Bombers defeated Owensboro RiverDawgs 9-6.

Dubois County Bombers opened up an early lead in the second inning when Zuriel Collins drew a walk, scoring one run.

Dubois County Bombers took the lead for good with one run in the third inning. In the third Matt Ellis singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.

Dubois County Bombers tallied three runs in the sixth inning. Tucker Schank and Adam Hedinger all drove in runs in the frame.
Chase Rudy earned the win for Dubois County Bombers. He surrendered one run on two hits over two innings, striking out two and walking one. Samuel Steimel, Brennan LaBarbera, and Thomas King all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory. King recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Dubois County Bombers.

Craig Nixon took the loss for Owensboro RiverDawgs. He lasted one and two-thirds innings, allowing four hits and three runs while striking out two.

Blaine Gillim started the game for Owensboro RiverDawgs. He went two innings, allowing two runs on one hit and striking out two Benton McGill started the game for Dubois County Bombers. He allowed three hits and one run over two innings, striking out three and walking zero.

Dubois County Bombers collected nine hits on the day. Schank and Chase Hug all managed multiple hits for Dubois County Bombers. Hug and Schank each collected two hits to lead Dubois County Bombers.

Owensboro RiverDawgs racked up 13 hits. Michael Wymann, Josh Bennett, and Tanner Singleton all managed multiple hits for Owensboro RiverDawgs. Wymann went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Owensboro RiverDawgs in hits.
