Dubois County Bombers Drops Game To Franklin Duelers After Late Score

Dubois County Bombers lost the lead late in a 7-6 defeat to Franklin Duelers on Wednesday. Franklin Duelers was down 6-5 in the top of the ninth inning when John Benevolent doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs.

Dubois County Bombers collected seven hits and Franklin Duelers had seven in the high-scoring affair.

Dubois County Bombers fired up the offense in the second inning, when Andrew (AJ) Arnold singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.

Franklin Duelers scored three runs in the sixth inning. The offensive onslaught by Franklin Duelers was led by Benevolent, Marcos Hernandez, and Chandler Hughes, all driving in runs in the frame.

Rylan Thomas earned the victory on the mound for Franklin Duelers. He surrendered two runs on three hits over three and two-thirds innings, striking out three. Cale Sementi threw one-third of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Samuel Steimel took the loss for Dubois County Bombers. He went two innings, allowing two runs on two hits and striking out four.
