Franklin Duelers Blows Away Henderson Flash By Seven Runs


Franklin Duelers cruised to an easy victory over Henderson Flash 11-4 on Sunday.

Henderson Flash got on the board in the second inning. Rob Sproul hit into a fielder's choice, scoring one run.

Franklin Duelers pulled away for good with four runs in the third inning. In the third Tim Blankenberger's sac fly scored one run for Franklin Duelers, Orlando Arevalo doubled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run, and Sean Becker singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

Branon Pope toed the rubber for Franklin Duelers. He went six innings, allowing four runs on seven hits, striking out six and walking one.

Braden White started the game for Henderson Flash. He allowed six hits and five runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out three. Jon Cato, Luke Fisher, and Evan Payne each contributed in relief for Henderson Flash.

Franklin Duelers had 13 hits in the game. Travis Faix, Trejen Birdwell, John Benevolent, Becker, and Daniel O'Reilly all managed multiple hits for Franklin Duelers. O'Reilly, Becker, Benevolent, Birdwell, and Faix each collected two hits to lead Franklin Duelers.

Henderson Flash totaled nine hits in the game. Austin Domer and Noah Brown each managed multiple hits for Henderson Flash. Domer led Henderson Flash with three hits in four at bats.
