Franklin Duelers Claims Lead In Fifth Inning To Defeat Muhlenberg County Stallions


Franklin Duelers snagged a late lead and defeated Muhlenberg County Stallions 6-1 on Saturday. The game was tied at one with Franklin Duelers batting in the bottom of the fifth when Sam Gage singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

Franklin Duelers got things started in the first inning. Ethan Shelton hit a solo homer.

In the top of the third inning, Muhlenberg County Stallions tied things up at one when an error scored one run for Muhlenberg County Stallions.

Mikey Clements got the win for Franklin Duelers. He allowed zero hits and zero runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out six.

Reece Puckett took the loss for Muhlenberg County Stallions. He surrendered five runs on four hits over five innings, striking out five.

Franklin Duelers tallied three home runs on the day. Shelton put one out in the first inning. Jordan Blick went yard in the sixth inning. Willy Diaz had a dinger in the fifth inning.
