Franklin Duelers Jumps Out To Early Lead In Victory Over Fulton Railroaders


Franklin Duelers defeated Fulton Railroaders 13-5 thanks to a strong start. Franklin Duelers scored on a single by Tyler Estes, a double by James Marcinkowski, and a single by Jordan Blick in the second inning.

After Fulton Railroaders scored one run in the top of the fourth, Franklin Duelers answered with one of their own. Fulton Railroaders scored when Britt Netterville singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run. Franklin Duelers then answered when Tim Blankenberger hit a solo homer.

Franklin Duelers scored five runs in the eighth inning. Blankenberger, Blick, Robby Zanardelli, and Estes each drove in runs during the inning.

David Hall took the win for Franklin Duelers. He went five innings, allowing three runs on 11 hits and striking out five. Rylan Thomas and Matthew Crittenden entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Keshaun Mays took the loss for Fulton Railroaders. He went two innings, allowing five runs on seven hits and striking out one.
Franklin Duelers tallied four home runs on the day. Blankenberger went for the long ball in the fourth inning. John Benevolent had a homer in the fifth inning. Marcinkowski had a dinger in the sixth inning. Blick put one out in the eighth inning.

Franklin Duelers racked up 18 hits on the day. Marcinkowski, Jack Banks, Blankenberger, Estes, Blick, and Sean Becker all managed multiple hits for Franklin Duelers. Banks and Marcinkowski each managed three hits to lead Franklin Duelers.

Fulton Railroaders collected 15 hits. Luke McKenzie, Netterville, Garrett Guymon, and Reid Rector all managed multiple hits for Fulton Railroaders.
