​Franklin Duelers's High Score Not Enough To Secure Win Against Owensboro RiverDawgs


Both pitching staffs had their hands full on Thursday in a high-scoring affair where Owensboro RiverDawgs bested Franklin Duelers, 17-7.

The Franklin Duelers struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Owensboro RiverDawgs, giving up 17 runs.

Franklin Duelers collected seven hits. Travis Faix, Trejen Birdwell, and James Marcinkowski each had multiple hits for Franklin Duelers. Marcinkowski, Birdwell, and Faix all had two hits to lead Franklin Duelers. Franklin Duelers tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Birdwell led the way with two.

Owensboro RiverDawgs saw the ball well today, racking up 19 hits in the game. Michael Wymann, Bailey Falkenstein, Tarron Lawson, Parker Stahlman, and Kyle Hogwood all managed multiple hits for Owensboro RiverDawgs. Wymann led Owensboro RiverDawgs with five hits in five at bats.
