Fulton Railroaders Walks Away Victorious Over Franklin Duelers In High-Scoring Game, 9-7


Both Fulton Railroaders and Franklin Duelers had their offenses going on Wednesday, but Fulton Railroaders eventually prevailed 9-7.

In the first inning, Franklin Duelers got their offense started. Franklin Duelers scored two runs when John Benevolent homered.
In the bottom of the third inning, Fulton Railroaders tied things up at five. An error scored one run for Fulton Railroaders.

After Franklin Duelers scored two runs in the top of the second, Fulton Railroaders answered with two of their own. Franklin Duelers scored when Sean Becker singled on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs. Fulton Railroaders then answered when Chance Foss doubled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run and an error scored one run for Fulton Railroaders.

Fulton Railroaders pulled away for good with three runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Garrett Guymon doubled on a 3-2 count, scoring three runs.

Colin Millar was credited with the victory for Fulton Railroaders. He surrendered five runs on seven hits over five innings, striking out five and walking one. Jordyn Naranjo, Omari Hunter, and Britt Netterville all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory. Hunter recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Fulton Railroaders.

Cale Sementi took the loss for Franklin Duelers. He surrendered three runs on five hits over two and two-thirds innings, striking out five.

Franklin Duelers tallied three home runs on the day. Orlando Arevalo put one out in the sixth inning. Tim Blankenberger had a homer in the third inning. Benevolent had a four bagger in the first inning.

Fulton Railroaders totaled ten hits in the game. Foss, Landon Ezzell, Guymon, and Davis Lott each had multiple hits for Fulton Railroaders. Lott, Guymon, Ezzell, and Foss each collected two hits to lead Fulton Railroaders.

Franklin Duelers collected nine hits on the day. Trejen Birdwell, Benevolent, and Arevalo all managed multiple hits for Franklin Duelers.
