Hattiesburg Black Sox Runs Away With Early Lead In Victory Against the Dubois County Bombers

Dubois County Bombers watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 13-3 loss to Hattiesburg Black Sox on Saturday. Hattiesburg Black Sox scored on a double by Beau Wallace in the first inning, a double by JT Hall in the first inning, a single by Wallace in the second inning, a error in the second inning, and a single by Nick Ammirati in the second inning.


The Dubois County Bombers struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Hattiesburg Black Sox, giving up 13 runs.

Hattiesburg Black Sox got things started in the first inning when Wallace doubled on a 0-2 count, scoring two runs.

Hattiesburg Black Sox scored five runs in the second inning. Wallace, Hall, and Ammirati all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Clyde Kendrick was the winning pitcher for Hattiesburg Black Sox. He lasted three innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out four and walking zero. Corgan Green threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Alex Franklin took the loss for Dubois County Bombers. He went one and two-thirds innings, allowing eight runs on seven hits and striking out one.

Layne Tedder started the game for Hattiesburg Black Sox. He lasted three innings, allowing three hits and one run while striking out three.

Matt Ellis led Dubois County Bombers with two hits in three at bats.

Hattiesburg Black Sox racked up 13 hits in the game. Wallace, Jordan Worsham, and Hall all managed multiple hits for Hattiesburg Black Sox. Wallace went 4-for-5 at the plate to lead Hattiesburg Black Sox in hits.
