Henderson Flash Clinches Lead In Eighth Inning For Victory Over Paducah Chiefs


Henderson Flash nabbed the lead late in the game in a 7-6 victory over Paducah Chiefs on Friday. The game was tied at five with Henderson Flash batting in the bottom of the eighth when Dylan Byerly singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

Paducah Chiefs scored four runs in the first inning, but Henderson Flash still managed to pull out the victory. Grayson Taylor, Alan Roden, and Lofton Pigg each had RBIs in the frame.

Paducah Chiefs got things moving in the first inning. An error scored one run for Paducah Chiefs.

Henderson Flash knotted the game up at five in the bottom of the sixth inning. Noah Brown doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

Jared Hart was credited with the victory for Henderson Flash. He lasted one and two-thirds innings, allowing two hits and one run while striking out three and walking one. Matthew Craven threw two and a third innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Sawyer Smallwood took the loss for Paducah Chiefs. He allowed one hit and zero runs over two-thirds of an inning, striking out one and walking one.

Garrett Simpson started the game for Henderson Flash. He surrendered five runs on six hits over five innings, striking out two and walking zero Brady Bibb started the game for Paducah Chiefs. He went five and two-thirds innings, allowing five runs on eight hits and striking out one.

Henderson Flash smacked one home run on the day. Gunner Smith had a dinger in the first inning.

Henderson Flash racked up 12 hits. Trey Hutchinson, Hayden Judice, and Nolan Melton each racked up multiple hits for Henderson Flash. Melton, Judice, and Hutchinson each collected two hits to lead Henderson Flash.

Paducah Chiefs scattered nine hits in the game. Pigg and Taylor all had multiple hits for Paducah Chiefs. Paducah Chiefs was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Pigg had the most chances in the field with seven.
