​Hoptown Hoppers Claims Blow-Out Victory Over Madisonville Miners, 10-2

Hoptown Hoppers asserted their will over Madisonville Miners on their way to an easy 10-2 victory.

Madisonville Miners got on the board in the first inning. Madisonville Miners scored one run when Ben Teel singled.

Hoptown Hoppers pulled away for good with five runs in the third inning. In the third an error scored two runs for Hoptown Hoppers, Seth Bennett doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run, Jacob Jenkins singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, and Cameron Hill tripled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

Hunter Crosby took the win for Hoptown Hoppers. He lasted six innings, allowing six hits and two runs while striking out ten. Hunter Arnold and Jordan Wendel entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Justin Hallum took the loss for Madisonville Miners. He lasted three innings, allowing six hits and five runs while walking one.
Hoptown Hoppers racked up 11 hits on the day. Wyatt Stevenson, Hill, and Bennett each collected multiple hits for Hoptown Hoppers. Hill and Stevenson all had three hits to lead Hoptown Hoppers. Hoptown Hoppers didn't commit a single error in the field. Brendan Nee had the most chances in the field with 16.

Madisonville Miners totaled six hits in the game. Jacob Council and Teel all managed multiple hits for Madisonville Miners. Council led Madisonville Miners with three hits in five at bats.
