Joey Fletcher Drives In Four To Seal Franklin Duelers's Victory Over Madisonville Miners


Joey Fletcher drove in four on three hits to lead Franklin Duelers past Madisonville Miners 15-5 on Tuesday. Fletcher drove in runs on a home run in the third, a single in the fifth, and a double in the sixth.

Franklin Duelers earned the victory despite allowing Madisonville Miners to score four runs in the sixth inning. Jacob Council, Alex Rodriguez, and Ben Teel each had RBIs in the frame.

Franklin Duelers got on the board in the second inning when Marcos Hernandez singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.
Franklin Duelers notched five runs in the sixth inning. Fletcher, Ethan Shelton, James Marcinkowski, Tyler Estes, and Hernandez all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Brant Alazaus led the Franklin Duelers to victory on the pitcher's mound. He lasted six innings, allowing four hits and four runs while striking out five and walking one. Mikey Clements threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Griffin Lape took the loss for Madisonville Miners. He surrendered seven runs on seven hits over five and a third innings, striking out seven.

Franklin Duelers tallied two home runs on the day. Travis Faix had a dinger in the seventh inning. Fletcher put one out in the third inning.

Franklin Duelers had 13 hits in the game. Shelton, Fletcher, Hernandez, and Marcinkowski all managed multiple hits for Franklin Duelers. Fletcher and Shelton each managed three hits to lead Franklin Duelers.

Madisonville Miners collected seven hits on the day. Council, Michael Sookdeo, and Cam Diaz all managed multiple hits for Madisonville Miners. Diaz led Madisonville Miners with three stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with seven stolen bases.
