Muhlenberg County Stallions Holds Off Fulton Railroaders For Victory

Muhlenberg County Stallions built a five-run lead in the fourth inning and then held off Fulton Railroaders's charge for a 7-5 victory on Wednesday. Fulton Railroaders scored four runs in the failed comeback on a single by Davis Lott in the fifth, a single by Ty Wooton in the fifth, and a double by O’Neil Burgos in the sixth.

Muhlenberg County Stallions grabbed an early lead. Muhlenberg County Stallions scored on a fielder's choice by Tucker Jordan in the first inning, a home run by Luke Kuester in the second inning, a walk by Reece Puckett in the second inning, and a sacrifice fly by Adrian Minjares in the second inning.

Muhlenberg County Stallions pulled away for good with three runs in the second inning. In the second Kuester hit a solo homer, Puckett drew a walk, scoring one run, and Minjares's sac fly scored one run for Muhlenberg County Stallions.

Nate Cunningham was the winning pitcher for Muhlenberg County Stallions. He lasted two and a third innings, allowing six hits and four runs while striking out one and walking one. Cal Johnston threw one and one-third innings in relief out of the bullpen. Johnston recorded the last four outs to earn the save for Muhlenberg County Stallions.

Ryan Middleton took the loss for Fulton Railroaders. He lasted two innings, allowing four hits and four runs while striking out two.

Trey Boren started the game for Muhlenberg County Stallions. He allowed two hits and one run over three and a third innings, striking out six.

Muhlenberg County Stallions tallied one home run on the day. Kuester had a homer in the second inning.

Will Myers, Seth Taylor, Jake Edwards, Minjares, Kuester, and Puckett each collected one hit to lead Muhlenberg County Stallions. Muhlenberg County Stallions didn't commit a single error in the field. Minjares had the most chances in the field with 13.

Fulton Railroaders tallied ten hits. Wooton, Burgos, and Tyler Bell each collected multiple hits for Fulton Railroaders. Fulton Railroaders was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Garrett Guymon made the most plays with eight.
